Lombardo's Restaurant   

Old time ambiance, quick and impeccable service and great pasta may this restaurant a favorite for noon and evening dining. Keep an eye open for politicians popping in for a meal.

I don't know how old Lombardo's actually is, but the ambiance is clearly that of early in the last century. I have been going there off and on since 1977 and know that it remains a perennial; always good food and courteous service.

I first went to Lombardo's as a college student in 1971. My mentor began going there as a college student in 1960. I go back to Albany at least once a year and always go there. The food and the service are very good. Even though I don't go as often as did in the 70's the staff still remembers me and calls me by name. You must go and begin your own Lombardo's legacy.

I am shocked to see some of the above reviews commenting negatively about Lombardo's food. I have gone to an assortment of Italian restaurants in the Capital Region over the past twenty years and can say that nowhere has ever topped Lombardos food. As far as service it depends, but the food is always going to be fantastic.
