Changing

Previous visits to Scalo were in line with reviews. More recent visits have been very disappointing. Now we don't take out-of-town guests to the restaurant.

scalo's is consistent except that they sometimes mess up the specials early in the evening. otherwise reasonably good value for money, our experience has been that service is pretty good altho every now and then you get a brand new wait person and .... A better bet for pasta is Il Veccino down the street

BUGS!!!

I used to work at Scalo and I would take all the glasses to the front of the restaurant from the kitchen and twice there were huge roaches in a couple of the glasses. Not only that, but one time I saw a busser stick his hand down a glass of water to put a lemon on the side of the glass since it had fallen in and served it!! Don't ask for lemon in your water, they don't use tongs just dirty hands!
