Scalo Northern Italian Grill   

Thought the price was much too high for the quality and quantity of food. Service was not good and food was so-so. Maybe I just visited on a bad day but the menu prices live on...!

The food actually wasn't bad. It was just the service! Que Terible!!! Our waitress had to double check what we had ordered. When our food did come, she put the wrong plate to the wrong person. She forgot what we're drinking and had to ask us repeatedly. After our meals were cleared, there were a ton of bread crumbs left on our table. I actually don't know if any of the servers use crumbers to scrape them away, but it would be really nice if they all did. The dining room had all but cleared out entirely and you could tell that the waitress wasn't pleased that we were continueing our conversation and coffee/dessert. Everytime she came back to the table she reaked of smoke. Later I asked a friend of mine, who used to work there if all the servers were as bad. She said yes, they were. They hired servers with hardly any experience, let alone fine dining service experience. The owner and management were said to also not be on the same page with each other and did not look out for or treat their servers admirably. Upon learning this, I doubt I will be back. I can not support a restaurant that does not take care of their employees and present nothing but the best.

Will not set foot in this place again

Not just the best in Nob Hill, best in the City, You have to go there when you visit.
