So what if Ann Arbor is the intellectual hub of the Midwest? Smart people like to laugh too, but not at anything a normal person would find funny. That's why it's shocking that such a great comedy club resides in the heart of highbrow land. Rolling Stone named it "one of the best clubs between the coasts," with huge stars like Tim Allen, Rosie O'Donnell, Drew Carey and Ellen DeGeneres frequenting the place over the past 17 years. In early 2001, new owners took over and immediately updated the club's decor that had been mired in the '80s. They have also added a much-appreciated non-smoking show. -- Chris Candow

Love the Non Smoking Shows
Great Comedy, great downtown resturants walking distance to the show. We really like the non-smoking shows.

It's a great value, cheaper than other local comedy clubs I've been too. As a bonus, the early shows are no smoking!
Great value
It is always a good time when we go down to the Comedy Showcase. And it is usually cheaper than a movie!! Popcorn has free refills and the Long Islands taste great and are the best value for your beverage dollar. It is always fun place to take a date, starting the evening laughing your butt off is a great ice breaker.
