It seems that every bar in Ann Arbor is a town favorite, and GTC is another one. Although lacking in atmosphere and spiritual (alcoholic, that is) sophistication, GTC stands out from your average college dive for two reasons: Located on South U, one of town's busiest college streets, GTC features a huge outdoor area where you can observe the town life. Cheers for street-side drama, minor car accidents and beautiful people. The other reason to get exited about Charley's is its creative if not bizarre alcohol concoctions. Try the huge and cheap Long Island ice teas, which come in every color of the neon rainbow. Or exotic shots that will dazzle your visual, oral and cerebral functions.
