Burkhart's Pub has long been a local favorite on the Atlanta gay scene. People flock here every day and night of the week to enjoy the casual atmosphere and good-looking clientele. With four bars, pool tables and one of the biggest and best patios in the city, this two-level establishment always draws a crowd. Burkhart's karaoke is incredible, but no place to clown around: They take their singing seriously here. Decorations that include license plates from all 50 states, a seemingly endless supply of neon beer signs and folk art from Georgia artists provide an eclectic flavor. The crowd is diverse, and women are welcome. Age ranges from late-20s and up. -- Jeffrey Rollins

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!
By gayboynatl69 on 07/08/2008
I've been in Atlanta for a little over 4 years and have never seen a place turn around so quickly! Mary Edith and her girls rock my world! (except for that asian bitch with the attitude uggh) Mary always keeps it light and funny and never takes drag too seriously (Note to other bars ha ha). She treats all of us like family and has a very generous heart. I like the mix of people that go as well as the emphasis on no attitude. The bartenders are the bomb and the drinks are a bargain! PRIDE weekend was off the chain! One suggestion, get the smoke out of the bar, sometimes my eyes burn because the smoke is so bad! -Loyal customer-

The food is awesome, and low cost. They now serve brunch which is fresh, plenty. The bartenders treat you like family.

Very Very Cool Bar
By Travel Trash on 05/12/2008
This place has it. I make sure everytime I am in Atlanta that I stop here, and usually stay there till closing. Attentive bartenders, decent prices, 7 Days a week (Some bars are not) and the beers are icy cold. quick cab service too. Keep it up guys, you got it going on.

Like Cheers...
By fierceqt84 on 03/15/2007
...where everyone nows your name! Well, for the locals that is. It's a great bar! The staff is very friendly and welcome everyone to have a good time, especially visitors! Plus, they make some of the strongest drinks in Atlanta. Oh, and did I mention no cover charge and plenty of parking! That's a big plus for me since most bars ask$10+ to get inside; parking is a plus since you have to wonder around looking for a space on the road or give into paying around $20 at a parking lot. I'm only 22 and have been going to "Burks" a lil' over a year. The crowd is a lil older, so I can see why certain people would rather go to the more trendy, overpriced, pretentious bars. I personally go to almost every bar in Atlanta, but Burkharts is my "Cheers!"
