You want a taste of the pub scene in Ireland? Unless you have the cash to plunk down for a plane ticket, your best bet would be to check out Fado, which brings Ireland to Buckhead. There are five different sections, including an old cottage and a museum, which offer a history of Irish pub culture. In its quest for authenticity (albeit in a slightly over-the-top tourist kind of way), Fado's bartenders have mastered the quintessential pint. It's all business when it comes to "building" a glass of Guinness Stout. Bartenders take a good two minutes to build them and they leave a solid inch of head. The menu is mostly traditional, with a number of nods to American tastes (the chicken boxty quesadillas are just one example). Monday through Wednesday you can even get an earful of traditional Irish tunes by the Fado house band, appropriately named The Charms.
