River Room Restaurant & Tavern   

Sister restaurant to the Old Vinings Inn, The River Room shares a few items from the menu. The menu is updated quite frequently. I recommend the Shrimp and Grits (rich, but tastey) and the tomatoe bisque.

I did not know what to expect from this place as I had not heard too much about it, but it was a terrific dining experience. Everything from the atmosphere, to the staff, to the food (I recommend the Sea Bass) and staff, this is a must visit restaurant. It is a nice change of pace from the standard Atlanta areas of Buckhead, Highlands, Midtown etc....worth the trip.

We have dined around Atlanta for many years and have never enjoyed a restaurant as much as we did the River Room. The food was great, but so is the food at a small handful of other establishments. The staff was what made our night special. Everyone in the place was happy, friendly and helpful from the most excellent servers to the guy who poured our water. Even the owner stopped by to make sure our meal was enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit which will be very soon! Eva and John Starling Hilton Hotels International
