The SceneAn industrial gray door that once led into the old Biltmore Hotel's basement now opens to an astutely designed club with chic cocktails and see-and-be-seen opportunities. Several blocks from overblown Crescent Avenue, this demure lounge places modern furniture against a concrete backdrop. The mood is set with oversized blown-glass light fixtures that bathe the crowd in a flattering glow. The bar is long, white and glows various shades of red, blue and yellow throughout the evening. A glass wall behind the bar reveals a two-level lounge where DJs play down-tempo tunes on weekend nights. The DrawA diverse, ever-changing crowd keeps this club interesting. Nightlife pros are attracted to Halo's laid-back midweek scene. It's a nice setting for sipping cocktails and listening to music; there's even free wi-fi. Weekends, however, attract a coiffed and accessorized clientele on parade.

Not for singles

Unless your with a group this is not the place to be. Music is way too loud to start a conversation, plus too many yuppie types that are unfriendly to strangers...not sure how this won anything.

Personally I really do enjoy going to Halo. Don't expect people to be too friendly bc like said above, a lot of people do come there with a group already. But they have great big screen Tv's and its a great intimate setting, that gets really crazy on Thrusdays. But i just went on a Sat and it was fun too, kind of an older crowd there too. Its become one of our reg. hangouts

Definitely the coolest and cleanest bar in midtown. The staff is one of the best in the city - all beautiful and friendly. Nice mix of a crowd for an intown neighborhood with Thursday night being boys night out - and beautiful boys they are!!! The place to be anytime to have a good drink - also the crabcakes are some of the best in the city.
