Japanese sensibility and exquisite Asian art make this Hyatt special. Features especially attractive to the business traveler include over-sized and comfortable guest rooms with fax machine/printer/copier and two phone lines with data ports. There is a fully equipped business center in the lobby open from 7am to 6pm. Every guest room also has a Sony Playstation, and you can go for a swim in the hibiscus-lined pool or catch your breath in a magnificent 9,000 square foot authentic Japanese garden. There is a fine fitness center that doesn't sell outside membership, so you'll never have to fight crowds and wait. The Grand Hyatt's placement on the street -- with no other tall buildings close by -- is another of its special features. As a result, the view from the guest rooms at the higher levels -- and especially on the south-facing side -- is magnificent. Get the full effect by requesting a corner, double-view room or splurge (to the tune of $2,500, or so) on the Presidential or Governor's Suites, which feature huge balconies, way up high, overlooking the city. The hotel sits on a large lot, gorgeously and colorfully landscaped and maintained, so even the views from the lower rooms will provide lovely sights. -- Judith Augustine Alexander
