Lava Lounge   

There's no shortage of places to party in Midtown, but what this tri-level club offers that many of its neighbors do not is an intimate and laid-back vibe for those who want to see and be seen. That's not to say that it's all about posing at Lava Lounge, because when some of the city's top DJs start spinning everything from techno to the latest hip-hop hits, it's hard not to shake whatcher mama gave ya. However, that's just what happens when you're on the basement level. On the main level, which features mosaic designs, blue lighting and a fireplace, you can enjoy cocktails and conversation while at the bar or on one of the plush couches. And, if you're a VIP, you can always head upstairs where you can hold court and pretend you're P. Diddy. As for the crowd, expect the majority to be made up of twentysomethings dressed to impress and feeling sexy.
