MF Sushibar (the MF stands for Magic Fingers, or More Fish/Fun or Flavor, your call), was established by brothers Alex and Chris, an artist/chef duo who have presented Midtown with an elegant option for dining on sushi. In fact, MF Sushibar is the first Japanese restaurant in the state to serve only sushi dishes, which include sashimi and Nigiri sushi, consisting of pairs of hand-shaped sushi. You may order a la carte or sushi and sashimi combinations, and lunch dishes come with miso soup and ginger salad. In the sushi department there are traditional rolls (tuna, cucumber, the intriguing sounding mountain root), and a number of eight-piece special rolls (spicy tuna, fried-shrimp tempura, various eel dishes, and the delicious tempura crunchy roll of crab, massago and mayo). A true dessert treat is the mochi, with green tea or other ice cream wrapped in a dough of sticky rice flour. It's truly something different. MF Sushibar also offers a variety of hot- or cold-flavored sake as well as Japanese beers and other beverages. -- Edna McCown

embarrassing mF shushi

I was embarrassed when I recently took guests to the MF in BH. I loved the midtown one. But this one is evidently a front for something else, not interested in serving you at all, terrible service, overcharged, all of us, added extra food and drinks to the check and then were indignant when it was pointed out, the server never came back for the check so we had to go to the hostess stand to check out and they were not helpful either. My guests were more horrified than me, and they hadn't had the positive experience I had in Midtown. Guys, what in the heck is going on there, you were both there that evening, no excuse for that kind of service or food. Very over rated in every sense, just kind of Eurotrash hanging out

Unexpected Fish Bliss

I am not a Sushi fan by any means. I have had it plenty of times simply because my friends adore sushi. Since discovering MF I have fallen in love. This place is the best sushi in town. The service is kind of scary at times because the waiters have no place to stand out of sight so they hover but the food is worth it. You have to order the saki as it is this best i've ever had and if you arent adventurous, the sweet tea is great as well. Specialty sushi meals here combine creativity and flavor to make this the best you will ever taste. Trust me!

Been to just about every sushi restaurant in ATL, and this is not one of the best...very overpriced and small sashimi portions.
