Coffee is no joke here. The choices in blends, grinds, roasts, and country can be overwhelming -- particularly before your first cup. However, there are people who care deeply about their coffee and undoubtedly, Aurora serves up an excellent cup of joe -- some of the best in Atlanta. For the acutely caffeine-addicted, there are some particularly powerful blends. Aurora is a locally owned establishment that has a good neighborhood feel. The Highland Avenue branch serves as a hangout for yuppies pushing strollers and others that live in the community -- although the less-than-comfortable industrial-style furniture does not encourage lengthy lounging. The menu is generally limited to coffee drinks, baked goods and desserts. You won't find coffee paraphernalia for your co-workers' birthday presents here. -- Kay Hershberger
