Opened in 2000 by Mario D'Elia and his business partner Bruce Blumberg, this traditional New York-style pizzeria moved into a 4,800 sq. ft. location in May of 2003. The restaurant features an expansive, full-service bar area decorated with tons of Yankees, Jets and other sports memorabilia, as well as a dining section full of New York City photographs and memorabilia from Italian pop culture cornerstones such as 'The Sopranos' and 'The Godfather.' There's also a 600 sq. ft. banquet facility, which features a 65" big-screen TV with DVD and surround sound speakers, plus a huge buffet. The food at Bellas is typical pizza joint fare, but with a decidedly "Noo Yawk" flavor, with hand-tossed crust and fresh ingredients cooked in a stone hearth oven. Pizza is obviously the focus here, with the Spinach Alfredo (spinach, artichoke hearts and alfredo sauce) a popular favorite that has earned pizza chef D'Elia acclaim in national restaurant industry publications. The menu also includes calzones, strombolis, subs (try the Meatball, which has three homemade meatballs that weight nearly half a pound), and entrees such as veal, chicken and eggplant parmesan. -- Bret Love

Bella's would last less than 1 month in NY
By GOSM711 on 05/31/2008
Overrated...service at Smyrna is terrible...other stores are worse as we had to visit with family who wanted to try the Austell location. I'm from Philadephia and spent tons of time eating pizza in New York, Philly, and New Jersey. This is not even close to being a good pizza. Pass on this place...make your own with Publix pizza dough. And keep looking for the elusive great pizza in Atlanta.

Ok pizza but rotten service
By graceladyphd on 07/06/2007
If you like your pizza with extremely slow, and bad service...then Bellas on Atlanta Road (Smyrna) is the place. We waited 30 minutes to give our order (seriously). My first slice was burnt, and the dessert we ordered was totally forgotten. Oh, and the manager just said "oh well" cash or credit....... We'll stick with Johnny's Pizza...good service means a lot to our family.

Bella's on Bells Ferry Rocks!
By kaseyhunter on 05/04/2007
I am a regular at Bella's for their delivery service. It's great. The people are wonderful and helpful. Their food is excellent. The pizza and the house salad with chicken (which is huge, enough for 2 meals) and the spaghetti are my favorites. And they have awesome carrot cake. Totally recommend the one at Bell's Ferry Road. They truly rock and are a Godsend for me. Kasey
