Cafe Lily perches on a busy corner of downtown Decatur. This fun spot has much to recommend it for ambience but even more for food. Dishes come from around the Mediterranean, including Portugal and Spain. At either lunch or dinner, start with the rum-cured salmon or the marinated eggplant with grilled Tuscan bread. Main courses at lunch focus on sandwiches and salads. The burger here is salmon. For brunch, there's a classic Italian frittata rustica. Sometimes there are special featured wines, such as Spanish selections, for which chef Antonio Pitillo will serve superb traditional dishes, perhaps lamb chops with creamy garlic sauce and potatoes.

Never Disappoints!

Have been dining at Cafe Lily since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is outstanding, and the service is smooth and attentive, yet never intrusive. The appetizers are spectacular. The run-cured salmon plate and hot mezzo platter have no equals in Atlanta (fabulous kibbeh and falafel) and are large enough to share. Wine list is outstanding, and samples are provided to help you make your decision. Have taken friends from Marietta, Covington, Conyers and Stockbridge there, and they've returned many times. Easily the finest dining spot in the NE Atlanta area.

We arrived late on Father's Day. It was nearly 9pm when we were seated. The food was excellent. The service was very pleasant, but incredibly slow. As we were leaving, we realized that our waiter was eating his own dinner while still trying to take care of us. That explained the five minute wait between bringing the dessert menu and taking the dessert order, asking for more water and receiving more water, etc.
