The Capital Grille is a high-end steakhouse in the grand tradition of Bones and Chops... Longhorn this is not. If you couldn't tell just from looking at the menu (where the cheapest entrees start at around $18), then the decor would surely give away this national chain's upscale pretentions: Oil paintings of famous Atlanta city leaders like Robert Woodruff share space on the oak-panelled walls with deer-head trophies, while brass railings, Art Deco light fixtures and suit-clad hostesses lend the place an added air of class. The wine and drink selection is just as extensive and expensive as the entrees, which range from gigantic lobsters and lamb chops to the requisite prime steaks, which are dry-aged on the premises. Though the food has gotten largely mixed reviews thus far, the restaurant's best feature may actually be its view, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a spectacular vision of the downtown skyline. A great place to impress your guest, whether a lunchtime business meeting or a dinner date. -- Bret Love
