Believe it or not, there is a Tuesday night late-night crowd in Atlanta, and it all ends up at Star Bar for Funk Disco Night. Less ‘Saturday Night Fever’ and more ‘Car Wash,’ the DJ steers the music away from classic disco and more toward funk disco, and spins an infectious beat that rouses even the exhausted onto the dance floor.But the crowd moving and shaking on the dance floor belies this Little 5 Points dive -- mostly mid- to late-20s professionals enjoy the funky beats. The bar and lounge downstairs is more true to the neighborhood, which is chill, raw and ready for the next David Lynch film.Parking is free in the well-lit lot next door and behind the building. It costs $5 to get in and drinks are cheap. The music starts at 10PM, but even the bartenders say that no one gets there before midnight.
