With its space-aged, retro interior, Crescent Moon resembles a place where the Apollo astronauts might have come to hammer down a hearty breakfast before blastoff. Funky, deep colors and '50s-style metal kitchen tables make this downtown Decatur hotspot both fun and functional. A genuine diner, Crescent Moon's menu has everything you'd expect -- burgers, open-faced sandwiches, meatloaf, and pot roast, but the real draw here is breakfast. Regardless of the time of day, you can order the biggest, baddest breakfast in Dekalb County. The house special, called 'The Usual,' is a traditional breakfast of sausage, eggs, biscuits and grits. For a more unusual choice, try the cream cheese scramble, a favorite among regulars. A variety of bulging wraps are the hot ticket during lunch hour as bureaucrats from local county offices flock to the 'Moon' like Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
