Dark Horse Tavern   

The Dark Horse has long been one of the Virginia Highlands' most popular hangout spots. On the weekends, young singles climb all over each other at the antique bar and cram in around the small tables and cozy booths. It's not uncommon to see six or eight chairs clustered around a tiny table for four. Meet for an impromptu summer rendezvous or gather with 50 or so of your closest friends on the three-tiered deck. Just have a beer or two upstairs before heading downstairs for some live local music. There's no cover for the bar but usually one to see the show. Sooner or later, if you're out and about in Atlanta, you'll wind up at the Dark Horse -- and you're sure to make an interesting acquaintance or two when you do.
