Located on Virginia Highlands' main drag, Harry and Son's is a great spot to gather a group for dinner before going out on the town. The restaurant's slogan, "Just Good Food," is simple enough to describe exactly what you'll find here. With an eclectic array of dishes ranging from Thai to Japanese, the menu is diverse in its offerings: The shrimp fettuccine, Thai bouillabaisse, sushi and tempura are all moderately priced at about $10-$15. Top it all off with a slice of notable Key Lime tart.After their meals, diners at the restaurant can trip next door to Dark Horse Tavern, one of the area's hottest hangouts. Open for both lunch and dinner, Harry and Son's offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeout. -- Amie Leavitt

Box Staple in my Egg Roll!!

I drove an hour through traffic out of my way to find this place. They have locations in Birmingham, AL that have the best food, esp. sushi. HOWEVER! I got an order of the eggrolls- they weren't as good as the ones in Birmingham AND I almost swallowed a big copper BOX STAPLE! Yeah, like a big metal staple! It was rolled up in my egg roll. And the best they told me when I complained was that they'd give me another order of eggrolls. Whatever. This place is terrible and if I found a METAL BOX STAPLE in my food no telling what else is going on there. I'll never eat there again.

Thai noodle is great, as everything else we have ever eaten here. Love the atmosphere.

Excellent Sushi

Food was fantastic! Had a great time with large group of friends. Fried rice, sushi, macadamia nut chicken appetizer and beef and broccoli was to die for! I defintely will come back! Only con was that it was difficult to seperate checks at end of meal. We thought it was a given we would have seperate checks since there were 16 of us. At any rate, it's not stopping me from going back.

Attack of the monster martini

Our service Sunday 2/15 was a bit slow but overall adequate, Food was good, the coconut chicken soup was excellent,so much so that it inspired me to make some at home, good sushi, eggrolls, we'll be back to try some of thier other offerings!
