One of two restaurants owned by Masato and Aoi Hashiguchi, this is the larger of the two, offering five private dining spaces. The menu is the same at both locations, each of which has an active sushi bar. Chilled sake (one is enough for two) is the ideal beverage with sushi, and there are several good selections. Besides good classic sashimi and nigiri sushi, we like the spider roll, with crisp, sweet soft-shell crab poking from the sushi rice, the Mexican roll with fried shrimp and smelt eggs, and the deep-fried soft-shell crab and oysters. Combination platters of sushi with salad and miso soup, ranging in price from $15 to $20 for the chef's special omakase combination, are excellent values. Also located at Around Lenox Shopping Center, 3400 Wooddale Rd., Atlanta, 404-841-9229.

Anytime that you walk into a Japanese restaurant and you see Japanese customers, then you know that the food is going to be good. I had the Rainbow Roll and the California Eel Roll. The Rainbow Roll was good, but the California Eel Rool was very good to excellent. Overall, I was very pleased and would recommend Hashiguchi to others.

I ate at the Windy Hill location, at I thought the sushi to be bad. I went one time and had tuna, it was VERY fishy tasting. Thinking this might have been just a one-time thing, I tried it again a few weeks later and it tasted the same! Sushi tuna should not be fishy tasting. The other sushi items were not up-to-par as well. I will never go back there after finding a lot of BETTER sushi restaurants in Atlanta.

The very authentic food is always fresh and tasty. Each dish is prepared and presented expertly, with excellent suggestions given by a very attentive but unobtrusive staff. Family and friends who are avid fans of Japanese food, and sushi in particular, are very impressed. We must go there often to satisfy our cravings induced by the always-pleasing food and staff.
