You know you've arrived at Atlanta Fish Market when, as you're moving along Peachtree Road toward Buckhead, a 30-foot copper fish leaps into view. This seafood emporium offers more than 100 fresh varieties of deep-sea catches flown in fresh (necessitating a menu to be printed twice daily), so fish lovers can't go wrong. Start off with a cocktail on the veranda or head for the Geechee Crab lounge to watch a game with your beverage. The dining room has an art deco-inspired interior, with hardwood floors, ceiling fans and some funky '50s touches. Now to the food: From sushi, oyster and clam appetizers, shrimp potstickers or calamari, move on to mouthwatering specials such as Carolina salmon trout with whipped sweet potatoes and macadamia honey nut butter, or seared Maine sea scallops with crab cake ravioli, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms and tomato butter. In charge of it all is Robert Holley, one of the country's most celebrated young chefs. -- Edna McCown

They have a great location but the cuisine is not as good as when they were in Lenox Mall as they lost the continental flair for their food.

I went here for my recent birthday dinner. My family, friends and I enjoyed ourselves! The food is delicious. It is pricey, but decide to treat yourself here and there- you're worth it.

BEST IN THE SOUTHEAST, PERIOD
By srvccritic on 01/30/2007
Check out the menu on line instead of reading the rest of these dated comments. I mean three comments in the last year. The restaurant has been the busiest in the city for the past ten years. At this point its not because they are tricking people. From live steamer clams, dungenese crab, Alaskan King Crab, Lobsters, Oysters, Mussels four different ways, Blue Crab, Lump Crab, 12 different types of fish prepared three different ways, theres no place like it. You can see the fish in a display case IN the dinning room. No other seafood restaurant has seafood this prestine. TAKE THE EDITOR'S ADVICE.
