Churrasco, long a culinary tradition in southern Brazil, consists of slowly roasting large cuts of meat over an open pit. Fogo de Chao brings this tradition indoors, with tableside service in which portions are sliced off in front of your eyes. Guests choose among any combination of 15 fine selections of beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Non-carnivores will be right at home here, with a choice of a buffet of salads, vegetables and side dishes. In a custom all diners will appreciate, guests are issued a chip on being seated. Turn the green side up and your gaucho waiter appears at your table, whereas the red side of the chip is a signal for service to halt. Another turn and service resumes. The prix fixe meals are $24.50 for lunch and $17 for the salad bar alone, with dinners at $41.50 and $20 for just the salad bar. Children ages 5 to 10 eat for half price, with no charge for children under 5. -- Edna McCown

I have been to many of the steakhouses in Atlanta. I will continue to go to Fogo De Chao as often as possible. The meats are excellent and so many to chose from. Service is very good.

Steakhouse it's not.

Serving slices of rump roast does not make a restaurant a Steakhouse.
