If there is one thing that Atlantans take as seriously as Braves baseball, it's traditional, Southern-style barbecue. With that in mind, Pig-N-Chik entered the fiercely competitive arena of family-owned barbeque restaurants late in 2002. You'll find Pig-N-Chik tucked into a spacious corner of the Belle Oaks shopping center where Sandy Springs meets Buckhead. As the name suggests, the menu is not limited to succulent swine; a variety of tasty chicken dishes are specialties, too, and seafood lovers will even find a huge smoked salmon salad. The atmosphere at Pig-N-Chik is casual, relaxed and very friendly. Sit at large, lacquered picnic tables either inside or out and never miss a pitch of Braves action: sports-tuned TVs are visible from every seat. Mid-day brings large lunchtime crowds who appreciate the prompt and courteous service. A well-stocked beer cooler and the sporting, good time environment make the "Pig" a popular weekend spot for relaxing with friends.
