There's nothing short-sighted about this downtown hot spot. Known for its savory hickory-smoked meats and accompanying side treats, such as tater salad, slaw, pepper cheese spinach and collard greens, Stubb's is also known as an indoor and outdoor music venue. The historic brick building, wooden seating, hardwood floors and dimmed interior radiate a saloon feel. The Sunday Gospel Brunch is a buffet of barbecue and breakfast favorites, complete with soulful tunes and local singers -- a truly unique way to spend a Sunday morning. The turkey, smoked chicken and Angus beef don't disappoint. Kick up your heels, grab a cold one and feast on some of Austin's finest. -- Kelly Lee

Stubb's Bbq on Top !
By Var83musik on 05/09/2009

The critics, again, are wrong
By deraldchief on 12/23/2007
Once again, the critics are talking down on a movie that everyone, at least in the showing I sat through, loved. As with the book, I spent the entire time crying, laughing and laughing through my crying. Lisa Kudrow steals every single scene she's in. While it doesn't follow the book exactly, and I've heard many complaints about that, it keeps the soul of Ahern's novel and that's what is important. I don't need a PS to say how much I love this movie. The actors were perfect for the roles. The dialogue was amazing. I found myself comparing aspects of the on-screen relationship between Holly and Gerry to my own - the hilarious fighting, the silent treatment that I have perfected... I absolutely adored this movie. I can't wait to see it again and again.
