Artz Rib House   

Artz Rib House has been serving up great barbecue entrees for longer than most Austinites have even lived here. Artzs menu of beef and baby back pork ribs, smoked sausage and smoked brisket is a meatlover's dream. The dining room, with its checkered table cloths, wood floors and lush smell of barbecue constantly emanating from the kitchen, has a genuine old-time feel that is very Texas. Artz also has a great lineup of local bluegrass and country talent taking the stage six days a week: Sunday afternoons are reserved for the Central Texas Association Bluegrass Jam; the Texas Olde Time Fiddlers Jam has the stage every Tuesday; and Monday nights youll find singer/songwriter/ bluegrass player Sarah Elizabeth Campbell. Saturdays are usually host to bluegrass locals The Grazmatics. Other usual musical guests include The Studebakers, Kimberly McCarver and Bert Rivera. -- Alex Arcone
