If you have ever used the phrase 'hole in the wall' as a compliment, El Carribe is for you. Its small, its simple, its wonderful. The salsa is a just right blend of freshness and heat, served with a never-ending basket of warm, light, perfectly salted chips. When you run out of the salsa that is served, go to the salsa bar for more choices. The lunch specials include your choice of one or two main dishes like burritos, enchiladas or tacos plus two sides -- queso, rice, beans or salad. For dinner, choices include fajitas, burritos, a variety of enchiladas, soups and tacos. Beef burritos and chicken enchiladas are two of the top choices. In addition to good basic food served hot and fast, you can expect excellent service from this well-kept secret. Enjoy El Carribe soon before the secret gets out. -- Lynett Oliver

Ehhhh

I give this place a mixed review, the portions seemed large for the price so that was positive. However, the Mexican Enchilada's were about the worst thing I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. (and I've had food poisoning from a Mex. Rest). Stay away from those, and you might have a better experience.

This is absolutely my favorite place to eat lunch. Every thing I've ever ordered has been hot and delicious. The sauces are great, the cheese is good. I love the cilantro rice and the charro beans...uuhm!

The prices are low, food is great, salsas unique, service terrific! I love the lunch specials and the gorditas mmmmmmmmmm... THe only thing they could improve would be to have homemade tortillas!
