If the Draught House is the English pub scene for commoners and football hooligans, the Ginger Man is the type of place the lords might frequent if they were to venture out incognito. The Ginger Man is a pubs pub with an entire wall devoted to beer taps, and a few choice areas with pleasantly appointed lounge furnishings. There is, of course, the obligatory dartboard at the front and a picnic-tabled beer garden in the rear, but the beveled glass and classic fixtures give one the impression of the real London of days gone by. The foremost sitting area is bordered by a bookshelf, replete with hardbacks. And the Ginger Mans motto is likewise taken from literature, specifically Shakespeare: And I shall make it felony to drink small beer. Therein lies the gist of the Ginger Mans mission: to bring some of the finest beers in the world to one of the finest locales in which to drink them - - Austin, Texas.
