Mars Restaurant & Bar   

Mars menu has been called everything from pan-Asian to eclectic to international to too much. It's called Pacific Rim but youll also find Mediterranean touches, too. Appetizers include everything from pretty basic spring rolls to hummus to salmon-wrapped asparagus to roasted quail with Szechuan dressing. The menu shifts a bit seasonally, so you might find a warm and welcoming Greek Noodle Bowl (linguine tossed with pesto, kalamata olives, tomatoes and feta) or chilled Mediterranean pasta salad. Youll also find grilled beef, fish and pork and dishes such Thai stir-fry, which can be adapted for vegetarians and vegans. There are usually nearly a dozen vegetarian offerings on the menu. And we havent even touched on the tandoor, an Indian oven that reaches temperatures of 800 degrees, and lets Mars turn out wonderfully authentic Indian naan bread and seared meats. With this many cuisines swirling together, the possibilities are nearly endless. So just remember this, Mars is eclectic pan-Asian food in a quiet, unhurried atmosphere with excellent service. -- Lynett Oliver
