Ruby's Barbeque & Catering Co   

Having once served as the de facto dining room to a blues club and Austin music icon known as Antone's (which has since relocated), Ruby's still acknowledges these early roots with blues music on the speakers and blues memorabilia on the walls. Eating barbecue amongst anything but the coos and murmurs of country music may be a tad disorientating at first, but a little Muddy Waters on the stereo is part of the appeal. Even more enticing is a wide-ranging selection of treats, from standard barbecue items such as rib plates and chopped beef sandwiches to more surprising selections such as black bean tacos and bowls of gumbo -- all of which are also available from Ruby's popular catering service.
