Buck Owen's Crystal Palace   

Though we have not lived long in Bakersfield (5 years) we always take our out of town guests to the Crystal Palace. The late Buck Owens and his Crystal Palace represent, along with all the good people in this city good heart, good music and good food.

Made reservations. We got seated promptly. We were seated in a great location in proximety to the stage. The night we visited Bucks son was on stage. This was a real treat because he put on a great show. The only problem we had with our visit was the food. Some ordered steaks they were good but I ordered a chicken fried ,and it was bad. I am from Texas and this is my Homey food . The piece I had was bigger than my plate. I tried to cut it with a knife and it was imposible. After fighting with it for a for ever I gave up. I gave it to a friend to give to the dog. Sorry but this is how it was.

I've been a regular customer at the Crystal Palace for a while now!Best entertainment Bakersfield has to Offer! That Rockabilly Fella and his band should be highlighted! Hell, he sounds more country than most your high dollar stars! That boys sound is Good for Bakersfield Folk. Great Food and Great Music!

My date and I decided to visit the Palace spontaneously one night. There were three couples of two people and one of these couples were sitted prior to us, even though they arrived after we did. It would have been beneficial if the greeters had taken names, numbers in party, and time of arrival to prevent this from happening in the future. It was very unorganized and the greeters had no idea who arrived when for duplicate size parties. The excellent food hardly made up for the aggravation.
