Highlandtown may be a bit off the beaten path for a gay bar, but Quest attracts a loyal neighborhood crowd that is welcoming to newcomers. Quest may be as friendly as the 'Cheers' bar, but it has the ambience of a roadside saloon and could use a decorator's touch. The decor such as it is consists of white Christmas lights, a couple of lava lamps, rainbow flags in a stars and stripes pattern, homoerotic posters and a few charming signs that read "No Hustling" and "Never Trust A Man Who Doesn't Drink." The bar's only accoutrements are cable TV and a pool table, which serves as the centerpiece for weekly pool tournaments. While Quest already has strong support from the locals, it only stands to benefit from traffic brought by nearby spots like the Creative Alliance art and performance space.

David Lessner where are you

Any bar that would have David Lessner as an employee, knows what they're doing! He is one of the nicest guys I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I met David about 7or so years ago in New Orleans. I had the pleasure of seeing him again while he worked for the Eagle. ( great bar ) Anyway, I have lost tough with him. I am sure he won't remember the guy with the southern accent that was from Tennessee, who was living in New Orleans, but i have never forgotten you David. If anyone knows how to reach David, would you please give him my email address. My name is Mark and I'm not the shy boy David once knew many years ago. Great Place

Whoever said what a dive must have not got any that Night. I have been going there since it opened in 2000. Always have a great time with the Friendliest People of any place in Baltimore.

I used to go to the ower;s other bar before he got the Quest. The customers and the bartenders are great. They make great drinks and you can have alot of fun there.
