Dinner at b in Bolton Hill can't be complete without a discussion of its single-letter, lower-case name. b could stand for many things -- bistro (which it is), Bolton Hill (where it's located) or busy (which its "no reservations" policy seems to keep it). Hungry neighborhood regulars delight in the bistro's quaint ambiance and sophisticated cuisine. While plenty of standard suppertime fare is present, roast leg of lamb or rosemary grilled beef tenderloin, for example, so are challenging dishes that are wonderfully affordable, too. Fresh, homemade ravioli satisfies along with a rotating risotto of the day and b's frutti de mare (a selection of shellfish and fin fish tossed in tomato sauce with crushed red peppers) is both spicy and filling.
