If you ask a Baltimorean where to find the best coffee in the city, more often than not they will point you to this local chain that serves tasty, mild coffee at great prices. Sleekly designed to suggest an art gallery or loft, Donna's opens up early and serves its coffee drinks and teas along with an assortment of fresh-baked pastries. However, for lunch and dinner, it becomes much more than a coffee spot with a great cafe menu that includes salads, sandwiches and entrees -- consistently better than the competition. The plum tomato and mozzarella salad with pesto and the Donna's burger are favorites.Some people have been known to complain that the service is slow, but think of it instead as relaxed, like a European cafe. Great Breakfast sandwiches

my wife and I accidently found this cafe in Baltimore on the morning of the 4th of July 2007. The Sauages and egg sandwiches on sour dough bread were so good that we both order a second. The service was excellent, my wife's second sandwich didn't come with the sauages they were added pronto will out any problem. The atmosphere is nicely decorated with original art work which adds a nice touch. Next time I am in Baltimore this will be a must stop! After eating we took a nice short walk around the Baltimore Washington monumental and tooks pictures. I since found out that this monument pre-dates the DC monument and is designed by the same person, great 4th of July. Oh Yes; the statues by Barye in the park (War and Peace) are excellent to look at also

Very dry cookies

The chocolate cookies are tasteless and dry. I wasn't encouraged to try anything else.

The service was slow and there was hair in my food. The place seemed dirty and the pasta was crunchy. Also the waiter was very slovenly. His hair and uniform were dirty. He seemed to have no skills as a server whatsoever.
