Even if you're not a vegetarian, One World Cafe should have something that appeals to you. The cafe, directly across from the Johns Hopkins University, draws heavily from the student body and the older Birkenstock crowd. The atmosphere is cozy, informal yet spacious, more like a coffeehouse than a restaurant. Indeed, there's a good selection of specialty coffees and teas, and, unlike many more-uptight veggie places, One World has a fully stocked bar. Soothing Mediterranean earth tones predominate and it's a relaxing place to read the paper over a leisurely brunch. Outdoor seating, under some leafy trees, is available. The food is filling and satisfying--and all vegetarian (including vegan) except for some fish dishes. The black bean burrito is huge, spicy and irresistible, and the meatless Philly cheese steak is a dining adventure. Try the hearty vegetarian chili and splurge on a Chocolate Sin (peanut butter shortbread smothered in chocolate) for dessert.

Wonderful place for really GREAT food! My husband & me ate their a few months ago, passing thru. In fact, he's on the road on a business trip and is pulling up there right now to have breakfast! I wish we had a One World Cafe here in Lakeland Florida!

This is a great place. The ambiance is not to be liking, but the food is excellent, especially the Philly cheese steak! I can't wait to experience the rest of the menu.

You can't lose with a place like this - the food was fresh, fresh, fresh and delicious. The menu was extensive (without being overwhelming)offering a variety of dishes to please every palate at every meal. The prices were very reasonable and our waitperson was terrific - pleasant and helpful. But don't tell anyone - I want to keep this place to myself!

Great spot. Typically Baltimore in that they seem determined to maintain multiple businesses in one location: low-key café, smoky full bar and health food restaurant -- the energy shifts depending on the time of day. Nearly everything I've had has been great, nice staff, although they don't seem to realize how confusing their system is to the uninitiated.
