Those familiar with vintage Saturday Night Live skits will get a kick out of Cheeburger, Cheeburger. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, this restaurant combines solid diner fare with amusing decor for the perfect family night out or a quick lunch pick up. The burgers are good, but the fries and onion rings are even better. If you are not too stuffed, try one of the 52 varieties of delicious milk shakes. While this eatery can get crowded at peak times, the nature of the menu allows for quick turnaround. Plenty of free parking is available. -- Laura Maguire

Not just in Timonium
They're also in Annapolis in the Riva Festival Shopping Center, where Forest Drive and Riva Road intersect. I think they have a few more locations around baltimore and DC. Burgers are good. So are the fries. Decor consists of a dozen fifties-style things stapled to the wall. Service usually is provided by bored teenagers who wish they were somewhere else.
