Talk about a 'Cheers' kind of place: This tavern fits right into that hometown, homespun category, with all your friends clustered around the bar or at one of the tables in front of the sunlit front windows. The decor is just as cozy as home, with cafe curtains trimming the windows and ceiling fans turning lazily overhead. Everyone seems to know everyone else as they sip beers or dig into one of the menu's many seafood dishes, from scallops to stuffed flounder to a crab platter. And you can start off with seafood as well, with an appetizer of clams Coburn or Sticky Shrimp. Or for a change of pace, stick to red meat or a lighter meal of soup and salad. Then hang out and chat with friends in this cheery place. -- Alexandra Greeley

It would be a lot better of a bar if the girl that works at the downstairs bar wasn't so rude. Bartenders are supposed to be friendly...you get better tips that way.

A Wonderful Evening
By shawnsmommy03 on 03/24/2004
I went to Coburn's on Sunday evening because everywhere else we tried had waits. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with everything. We had the best time sitting at a high-top in the bar, enjoying the meal and watching the "Square" come to life in the evening. Our waitress, Marcia, was friendly, knowledgeable, entertaing, and most helpful. The food was excellent, and the portions were great. The prices were completely reasonable. I have already recommended this place to many in just two days. We will be back.
