Extremely popular and crowded -- people seem to be always squeezing in and out of the tiny front entrance -- this crisp, clean little restaurant is deceiving: The small front room with its sushi bar doesn't even hint at the larger dining area in the back. Its lengthy and inclusive sushi menu merits full attention, from squid, octopus and conch to mackerel, egg and rockfish. Check the rolls, too: Bagel Roll, Eel Roll, Rock n' Roll and the Joss Roll. The sushi is some of the best in town.

An oasis in a sea of mundane
Joss Cafe is excellent. Quality of food and highest professionalism of staff. Food was succulent and best prepared. Staff was friendly, efficient. Other: I could use their bathroom without having to dodge furniture and people on the way- I use a wheelchair. Excellence and professionalism, and many times, accessibility for people in wheelchairs, are rare in Maryland. Joss is truly an oasis.

By far the best place for sushi in MD
Joss has become my favorite place! Yes, it's very tight, but the food is well worth the lack of space. Not to mention, the friendly atmosphere. You walk in and the sushi chefs yell "Oy" or something to you. LOL!
