One of the oldest pet groomers in the area, Lucky 3 is "20 years old and counting." Just look for the brightly-painted animal caricatures, created by a local artist, on the building's facade. The store's extensive service includes nail clips, scissors cuts (including trims for longhaired cats with matted fur and dogs with "special needs"), flea dips and more. Owner David Walter certainly knows his business -- he's written a book, "Dog Grooming and Pet Care: Doing it with Style," that you can buy right at his shop. In addition, Lucky 3 carries an amazing assortment of pet supplies including toys, leashes, collars, combs, brushes, carriers and so forth. And, chances are that many items will be on sale. You won't find pet food, however -- Walter explains that since his shop does not get much walk-in traffic, animal edibles would not always stay fresh.
