One, a downtown nightclub, is a place for Baltimore's beautiful people to put on the Ritz. At 22,000 square feet, it's an enormous place to party in style, and its four levels -- named Earth, Wind, Air and Fire -- hark back to the kind of splendid excess of the Studio 54 generation. The DJs, spinning a mix of hip-hop, trance, house and reggae keep the packed dance floor moving. There's a good mix of ages, too, as One attracts college kids and baby boomers. A strict dress code is enforced, so leave the baseball cap at home. The four levels are connected by a glass staircase and each level is designed to approximate the four ancient elements: Earth gets a teak treatment; Air's mirrored walls reflect all-white furniture and white tile floor; Fire blazes with light boxes and a sequined wall; and Water has portholes, dreamy mermaid paintings and pool tiles.

Saturday Nights...Its a party
By robceedj on 04/18/2007
You really need to check the place out on a Saturday night. The crowd is a nice mix of people and plenty of hot ladies. The drinks are on special (normally everything is half price from 10p-12a) and the music is on point!

Great Club and City
By profitandincome on 04/09/2005
I think Club One is a nice club for any city and not just Baltimore City. I personally prefer Baltimore night life over D.C. night clubs or night Life anytime. Dreams is over rated as well as the city of Washington DC. Lets face it guys D.C. is just a ghost town after 5:30 pm, I mean come on now please it's not New York or LA. ha, ha, ha. Take it from me I know I travel all around the world 2-3 times and D.C. night life is really lacking (I mean 911 action). Dream please I thought I was at a pimps and hooker's convention (ghetto).

If there was somewhere else to go in B-more, I probably would! Room for improvement, not enough room to dance...only enough room to stand around and look cute. I just thought that there would be more to the club than what is advertised. Friday night music was bumpin' crowd was okay. Saturday night music okay, but the crowd was weak! Love the dancing on the balcony. Club has potential, but because it is the only decent club in Baltimore at them moment, I guess it will do for now.

Not all cracked up to be
By mbamg55 on 03/05/2005
I was at this place 2/4/05 awful and ghetto. The decor was definetly subpar, compared to FUR or Dream. I must say the concept of the four elements is a great idea. Just poorly executed in this case. If you want a real club exprience please please goto DC
