Fleming's marries the customary with the contemporary, retaining the traditional meat-lover's menu while replacing the normally masculine clubhouse/steakhouse atmosphere with something more airy. Located in Inner Harbor East, Fleming's caters to people looking for the upscale but familiar -- the Baltimore franchise has sister restaurants in more than 10 other states -- and delivers Ruth's Chris or Morton's sans testosterone. It specializes in juicy steaks grilled to perfection, everything from a petite filet mignon weighing in at 8 ounces to a 22-ounce rib eye. But there's more for the carnivore, including veal chops with bearnaise sauce, Australian lamb chops, and a pork rib chop with apple-cider Creole mustard, apples julienne and celery root. Seafood selections range from the simple (lobster tails with butter) to the more complex (grilled swordfish with mango, cilantro and red-onion salsa). Wine is a major deal at Fleming's and more than 100 choices are available by the glass alone.

Go To Outback Save $$
By phllmng on 02/11/2007
SALAD WAS GOOD,AND SO WAS DESERT. THE 12OZ FILET I HAD WAS AWFUL. THE PLATE WAS SOOOO HOT IT MUST HAVE SINGED THE TABLE CLOTH, HOWEVER THE MEAT WAS LUKE WARM. WE SAW OUR WAITER A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES IN 3 HOURS AND HE WAS NIETHER PERSONABLE OR SERVICE ORIENTED. I HAD A $10 SIP OF A TREMENDOUS WHITE WINE WELL I THINK IT WAS GOOD THE EXPERIENCE WAS ALMOST OVER WHEN THE GLASS HIT MY LIPS THE DRINK WAS SOO SMALL. YOU WILL GET JUST AS GOOD FOOD AND BETTER STEAK AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE, THE ONLY THING YOU WILL MISS IS THE WINE SELECTION THAT COMES BY THE SHOT. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO OUTBACK. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOK CHEAP GO ELSEWHERE. I WILL NEVER RETURN.

By lrbeaver on 12/20/2004
I HAD THE PORTER HOUSE; THE FILET PART WAS GREAT BUT THE NY STRIP SIDE WAS A LITTLE TOUGH. SERVICE WAS AVERAGE. FOR THE MONEY I WOULD RATHER GO TO THE PRIME RIB OR RUTHS.
