A friendly oasis along a particularly bleak strip of Ritchie Highway, the Honey Bee Diner starts warming your soul even before your stomach. Right inside the door a jukebox is playing your song -- or at least it will be soon. The retro ambiance -- created by the counter lined with chrome stools, neon signs and black-and-white tile floor -- is as genuine as the friendly servers. Glass blocks in a hot pink frame separate the smokers and non-smokers. Served 24 hours a day, breakfast is the main event here -- offering everything from crepes and Belgian waffles to biscuits and gravy to Greek omelets. Late night visitors dig in to the appetizer platter, which includes jalapeno poppers, wings and stuffed mushroom caps, while dinnertime guests might enjoy meal of chicken cordon bleu finished off with New York-style cheesecake. The sandwich menu runs the gamut from crab cakes to the "Health Club" to a "Mardi Gras Wrap." A kids' menu and the brightly colored decor make this a favorite with the four-feet-and-under set.

Food is okay

...still the best place to get breakfast and good conversation. Plus, the coffee is excellent. The servers are good and food is okay. I like decor of the restaurant...TVs everywhere. Nice place to sit down and drink a cup of coffee and relax while eating your meal. Peoplel are friendly. Even the strangers.

Now that we live in Glen Burnie, this is our favorite! We eat here at least once a week. Not only is the food good, but the staff is friendly and funny! Typical diner food, but so much more!!!

Definitely a local type thing but I've had great breakfast at better places such as Double TT Diner.
