terrible service
By lilialee2237 on 08/22/2007
I am a vegetarian, so it was obviously not my top choice restaurant. However, being a vegetarian should not limit where I can go with my friends. We waited at least 15 minutes to be seated, as there were tons of open tables all around. Finally when sat and I asked about vegetarian options I was treated as if I were stupid. I ended up with a cucumber and tomato salad and mac and cheese, both side options because there was nothing on the menu that could be served without meat (and if there were our waitress was not willing to tell me any options, she said my only options were sides). Anyhow, my bill with one drink and those 2 items was $15, which is a little much, however I got my bill 3 days later (credit card) and was charged an extra $50! When I called to speak to the manager I was once again treated as if I were not worth their time. Terrible terrible service. (My friends loved the seafood, only reason I gave this place a fair)

Best Seafood in the USA
By bestcrashpad on 10/23/2006
My Croatian wife says the seafood at Moma's is the best she's has tasted in her 5 years in the US. This is a big complement since Croatia is on the Adriatic Sea and they are famous for their seafood. I too have never experienced such good seafood.

Wonderful!

I went with my wife and a couple of friends last night. Everything from the tasteful and fun decore (working gas lights, dark wood paneling, marble top tables, the display of oyster plates, and nautical touches throughout) to the food and service was superb. The scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious and the steak tournedos topped with crab imperial was exceptional. Our server (Lindsey) was knowledgeable, attentive, and fun. She made perfect recommendations for the appetizer (crab and artichoke dip) and the wine to go along with every meal. I think it may become my favorite restaurant. Looking forward to going back.
