Rate and Write a Review Just across the street from M&T Bank Stadium, Paradox takes full advantage of its industrial-area setting. Unlike many of the clubs in and around the city, Paradox can stay open far past 1:30AM -- last call at most city bars. Uniquely situated under the Russell Street Bridge (just off of MLK Boulevard), the club (which lacks a liquor license) caters to insomniacs and a younger, very diverse crowd. The fact that no alcohol is served doesn't mean it's not present -- the rules are BYOB until 2AM. So carry in gin, buy the juice, order some nachos at the concession stand and catch a game of live hoop. Paradox is split into three rooms with different vibes -- and DJs -- in each. One room offers murals and city art along cinder-block walls, and actually features a basketball hoop if you'd like to dunk a few. Multicolored geometric patterns drift across the walls of another room, all while bumpin' house or hip-hop spins battle against the sounds of trains running behind the building. Live music is also offered; just be prepared to pay up if you head in late -- there's a cover charge after 1AM.
