Margaritas Mexican Restaurant   

Food was soggy and cold.

This is a great restaurant that has been around for a while. The atmosphere inside is straight out of old me-hi-co. Plaster walls, sombreros, and south american artwork are just some of the adornments that line this building. The food is outstanding and the service excellent. Try my personal fav. the Chicken Chimichanga. The only thing that keeps this from 5 star is its close proximity to the UMO campus. Often the restraunt bar is packed and overflowing with obnoxious college students, and generally this detracts from an evening out with the family.

Margarita's was recommended to me by a friend since I was new to Maine. After eating one of the many appetizer's (which I gave a A+ and would have rated higher if I could have) I was somewhat worried that the entree would not live up to the appetizer. However, my fears were soon dismissed when I took my first bite of my main course. My taste buds were dancing as all the different textures, spices and flavors melted together in my mouth. Not only was all the food fantastic, but the best I had eaten since leaving Arizona. Since my first time eating there the service has always been excellent and the servers have always had a smile on their face and seem to go out of their way to help you. My twin granddaughters (age 5) love to go there because of the fun atmosphere and they have a child's menu and give them a little activity placemat and crayons. One night when we went there for some reason the girls were really hungry and our server came over and told their Mother that their dinner was ready and could she go ahead and serve them instead of waiting for the adults dinner to be ready. It was a lifesaver for us and its the little things like that they do that makes the Servers so special. However, when I want to go for a girls night out it is always Margarita's. They have an area mainly for adults and I can definitly see why their name is Margarita's. Their drinks are excellent whether a Margarita or a Bloody Mary. Of course their Margarita's are their speciality and they are almost as good as their food. I can not say enough good things about the service, atmosphere and most important the food at Margarita's. If you haven't try Margarita's, then you have no idea what your missing. Everytime I see my friend I thank her for recommending Margarita's, of course normally we're there eating dinner.
