The food was among the best we've had, including top celebrity restaurants in Los Angeles, where we live, San Francisco, New York and Philadelphia. The service is relaxed, not slow. If you want to rush through a meal, go somewhere else. If you want a truly great dining experience, go here. The wine list is impressive, and very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in other cities. And, the "table d'hote" prices, where one can get four courses, is a really a great bargain. Paul and Allison, the owners, are doing an amazing job!

Upscale, aspiring to 1st class cuisine. Top notch, if daring, nouveau. Wine list for every budget. Sit back, relax & enjoy dishes made with the finest ingriedients! This is NOT a fast food diner. A casual, Euro-style evening out is what this place is all about.

service was very slow and it felt like you were dining in a warehouse.

The quality of the food is great. The presentation of all servings are very nice. The New Moon's prices are a little high for the Greater Bangor area but is comparable to any Metro (Portland or Boston) restaurant. The wine selection is a plus. The bar has one of the areas best selections of beer and etc. Sometimes service is a little slow. The restaurant is targeted for couples slow fine dinning.
