Family owned with very attentive personal service. Food is creative and very good. Good portions and good wine list and cocktails. Menu changes frequently emphasizing another latin country and or Spain.

Thistles is one of the better restaurants in the greater Bangor area. Service is great. Food quality is excellent. Food presentation very nice. Limited wine selection. A very nice local place to take someone you wish to impress.

WE HAVE TRIED EVERYWHERE AND THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN BANGOR. WE LOVE THE MUSIC AND THE SERVICE. THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND WELL PRICED. IT IS NICE TO FIND A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE DRESS WELL. THE PEOPLE WHO ARRIVE IN JEANS, T-SHIRTS AND CAPS LOOK STUPID. THANKS THISTLE'S !!

Thistle's has the charm and atmosphere of restaurants I used to love dining in throughout Europe and larger U.S. cities. They have a variety of excellent wines as well as incredible food. My husband is a chef and loves their New England Chicken with the lobster sauce. My choice is the bow tie pasta with shrimp and pesto sauce. Alejandro is an amazing chef- and we love it when he comes out to sing to the guests as well. :-) Such a unique experience for Bangor.
