Eat a Powerbar before you go to the Loft. This bar bills itself as a high-energy alternative dance club and claims to have the biggest light show, best sound and largest assortment of liquor in Billings. (Perhaps you should also take an aspirin?) On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, this place is jammed -- standing room only -- with people of all ages enjoying the techno and drum-and-bass being spun by house DJs. Wednesday night is ladies night.Besides running a light show. The dance floor isnt the only place with the action, either; you can enjoy a little down time with pool tables, pinball, and keno and video poker. And, of course, with some drinks. The Loft serves up liquor and quite a few microbrews. There are two-for-one happy hours during the week as well. The crowd here is casual; no need to sport all-black attire. -- Laura Loftus
