The city of Boise, Idaho might be way, way west of the Red River, but it still has its own little slice of New Orleans, thanks to this rowdy music hall smack-dab in the center of town. It's roughly the size of a big city nightclub (capacity is around 1,000) and books the same kinds of musical acts that might be found at such a place. Sasha and John Digweed, darlings of the club music circuit, played here in 2002, and funk- master George Clinton also brings his act to the Big Easy from time to time. The dance floor gets packed with hip-shakin' party people, and the spotlights bathe everything in disco-style blues and yellows. From the restricted balcony area, VIPs can get a birds-eye view of the action. People who need to get off their feet and grab a bite or a cold one can retreat to Bourbon Street, the lounge/restaurant area. -- Lena Katz

THE BIG EASY
By romyvidales on 01/05/2004
If you like to dance and are over 18 it's a great spot to be. The dj and music is hot and its an all ages on wed. so if your over 21 you get in free and its really great to meet new people. Take a group of friends and social. See you there and I promise you go again.

I went there on a wednesday night and it was packed with kids. They only played crappy OLD music. I love rap and any kind of hiphop but these guys need something new that you can groove to!

the big easy

the big easy is one of the greatest places in downtown boise (apart from the record exchange). it has clubs you can go to like club fresh, and they have kick-ass concerts like the one im right about to go to, rock against racism. so if you think it sucks, then you must not be going at the right times because the big easy kicks.

Hey if you like hip-hop and you're not of age, well Wednesday night is your night. It's Club Fresh, all ages. On this day you'll meet many people from 16+. If come with a group of friends because it is jammed packed, so come early.
