Copperfield's is a decent bar and a kind of "no frills" live music venue. The bands are passable local acts (plenty of cover bands), but you'll seldom find anything really exciting on stage. Unless, perhaps, your standards have relaxed in the course of checking out the fairly decent bar (there are three bars on two floors, actually) which offers 15 microbrews on tap. Bands play Thursday through Saturday, but perhaps the bigger draw is Copperfield's location by Fenway Park -- the bar is closed on Sunday's except when the Red Sox are playing home. If you didn't get tickets but want to be close to the action, this is a good place to step in and watch the game on TV (and just think how far the TV signal had to travel in order to make it to you, across the street from the game!). Bar hours are Monday to Friday Noon to 2am, Saturday 8pm to 2am, and there's no cover before 9:30. Call 'em at 617-247-8605 for gig schedules (if it matters) and other information.
